These FAQs should be read together with our Terms and Conditions, Privacy Policy, Shipping and Delivery Policy, Returns, Exchanges and Refund Policy, Payment Policy, Order Cancellation Policy, Custom-Order Policy, Promotions and Discount Terms, Cookie Policy and Wig Care Policy. About Our Business

The Hair Boutique by Felicity is a Ghana-based hair business offering wigs and related hair products, including ready-to-wear and custom-order options where available. We are located at Effiakuma No. 9, Takoradi, Ghana.

You may contact us through:

For an order inquiry, include your full name, order number, and the telephone number or email address used for the order. Please do not send card PINs, mobile-money PINs, passwords, or one-time verification codes.

Depending on the transaction, relevant laws include the Electronic Transactions Act, 2008 (Act 772), as amended; the Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843); the Protection Against Unfair Competition Act, 2000 (Act 589); the Payment Systems and Services Act, 2019 (Act 987); the Value Added Tax Act, 2025 (Act 1151); applicable contract, tax, intellectual-property and criminal laws; and regulations or lawful directives issued under those laws.

Our policies do not remove any customer right that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Our Wigs and Product Information

Our available range may include human-hair wigs, donor-hair wigs, lace wigs, closures, frontals, glueless wigs and other ready-to-wear or customised units. Availability varies. The individual product page or quotation will describe the product offered.

Not necessarily. The fibre or hair type will be stated in the product description or custom-order quotation. Customers should read the description carefully before buying. We will not describe synthetic, blended or processed hair as unprocessed human or donor hair where that description would be false or misleading.

  • Length describes the approximate hair length measured using the method stated on the product page. Curly or wavy hair may appear shorter until stretched.

  • Density describes the approximate fullness of the wig.

  • Lace type describes the lace construction or area, such as closure, frontal or full lace.

  • Cap size describes the approximate wig-cap circumference or fit.

Measurements may have minor reasonable variations. Material features that affect a purchasing decision will be disclosed as accurately as reasonably possible.

Screens, lighting, and photography may cause slight color differences. We aim to display products accurately, but an exact screen-to-product color match cannot be guaranteed. This does not permit us to supply a materially different color from the color ordered or described.

Product appearance can vary because of head shape, cap size, installation, styling, lighting, maintenance, and natural variation in hair. A reference image may guide a custom order but does not guarantee an identical result unless specific features are expressly agreed upon in writing.

Some wigs may be ready to wear, while others may require lace trimming, fitting, installation, styling, or customization. The product description will state what is included. Unless expressly listed, accessories, installation, and styling services shown in photographs are not included.

No fixed lifespan applies to every wig. Longevity depends on hair type, construction, frequency of wear, heat, chemicals, washing, installation, storage, and maintenance. Any specific warranty or guarantee will be stated in writing. Our Wig Care Policy provides maintenance guidance, but care guidance does not remove a remedy for a product that was defective or materially misdescribed when supplied.

We do not claim that a wig grows hair, treats alopecia, or cures a medical condition unless a claim is lawfully supported and expressly stated. Product information and wig-care guidance are not medical advice. Customers with scalp conditions, allergies, or medical hair loss should consult a qualified healthcare professional.

Ordering

You may place an order through our website or another ordering channel we officially identify, such as WhatsApp. Select the product and options, provide accurate contact and delivery information, review the total price and policies, and complete an approved payment method.

Before an online transaction is concluded, customers must have a reasonable opportunity to review the terms, correct input errors, and withdraw from the checkout process as required by the Electronic Transactions Act, 2008 (Act 772).

An order submission or automated acknowledgement does not necessarily mean that we have accepted the order. Acceptance occurs when we issue an order confirmation or otherwise clearly confirm acceptance after checking payment, stock, and order details. We may lawfully reject an order for unavailable stock, an obvious pricing error, suspected fraud, an undeliverable address, or another legitimate reason. Any money due back will be refunded in accordance with law and our payment policy.

Check the product name, hair type, length, color, density, lace, cap size, quantity, customization, price, taxes, delivery charge, delivery address, and contact details. For a custom order, carefully check the written specification before approving production.

Yes, where we advertise that channel as an official ordering method. Ask for a written order summary and keep your receipt and messages. Confirm that you are communicating with our official telephone number before paying. We are not responsible for payments voluntarily sent to an impersonator where we did not cause the loss, but we will cooperate with legitimate investigations.

A person under 18 should order through a parent or legal guardian who can enter a binding agreement. We may request reasonable age or identity verification where necessary and lawful.

We will notify you promptly. You may accept an agreed substitute, wait for restocking where you freely choose to do so, or receive the refund required by law. Under section 48 of Act 772, where an online supplier cannot perform because the goods or services are unavailable, the consumer must be notified immediately and payment refunded within seven days after notification.

Under section 48 of Act 772, an online supplier should execute the order within 14 days after receiving it unless the parties agree to another period. Ready-made and custom-order pages may state different processing or delivery periods. By approving a clearly disclosed custom-order schedule, the customer agrees to that schedule. If we fail to perform within the statutory or agreed period, the remedies provided by Ghanaian law will apply.

Custom Orders

A custom order is a wig or service made, altered, or sourced to specifications chosen or approved by the customer. This may include a particular cap measurement, color, length combination, density, lace, construction, cut, styling, or personalization.

We will provide a written order summary or quotation showing the essential specifications, price, payment schedule, and estimated production period. Production begins only after the required approval and payment. Customers are responsible for checking measurements and specifications before approval.

The general online grace period under Act 772 does not apply where goods are made to the consumer’s specifications or where, by their nature, they cannot be returned. However, this exception does not allow us to supply a defective, materially misdescribed, or incorrectly made product. If we fail to follow the approved written specifications, contact us promptly with evidence so that an appropriate remedy can be assessed.

Contact us immediately. A change is possible only if production has not reached a stage where the change is impracticable. A change may affect price and completion time and must be agreed upon in writing. We will not make an undisclosed material substitution without the customer’s agreement.

Prices, Taxes and Payments

Prices are displayed in Ghana cedis (GHS) unless another currency is clearly stated. The customer will see or receive the full payable amount, including applicable delivery costs, taxes, and compulsory charges, before confirming the transaction.

The checkout, invoice, or receipt will state the applicable tax treatment. Where we are registered or legally required to register for VAT, we will charge and account for taxes under Ghana’s current tax laws. Ghana’s 2026 VAT framework is governed by the Value Added Tax Act, 2025 (Act 1151), and applicable Ghana Revenue Authority requirements. We will not collect an amount described as VAT unless legally authorized to do so.

Available methods may include mobile money, card, bank transfer or another approved method displayed at checkout or confirmed through our official channel. Availability may change. Payments may also be subject to the terms and security procedures of an authorised bank, electronic-money issuer or payment-service provider regulated under Ghanaian law.

We use or engage payment systems intended to meet appropriate security standards. Section 47 of Act 772 requires an electronic supplier to use a sufficiently secure payment system and may make the supplier liable for damage caused by failure to do so. We do not ask customers to disclose a mobile-money PIN, card PIN, account password, or one-time code to our staff.

First check whether the payment is pending, reversed, or successful. Then contact us with the order reference, date, amount, payment provider, and a redacted transaction receipt. Do not send your full card details, PIN, or password. We will check our records and, where necessary, work with the payment provider. A verified duplicate or payment for an unaccepted order will be handled under our payment policy and applicable law.

Yes. We will provide or make available an electronic confirmation, receipt, or transaction record appropriate to the purchase. Customers should save their order confirmation, payment receipt, and policy terms. VAT invoices will be issued where required by Ghanaian tax law.

Promotions and Discounts

Enter or present the code before completing payment and comply with the promotion’s eligibility, dates, minimum spend, and product restrictions. Unless stated otherwise, codes cannot be applied retrospectively, exchanged for cash, or combined. Our promotions and discount terms apply.

We may correct an obvious and genuine typographical or system error before accepting an order. If payment has been taken, we will explain the error and provide an appropriate refund or opportunity to proceed at the correct disclosed price. We will not use an “error” claim to avoid a genuine advertised promotion. Ghana’s Protection Against Unfair Competition Act, 2000 (Act 589), prohibits misleading conduct arising from advertising or promotion.

A discount does not by itself remove a statutory right. The usual return and cancellation rules apply unless a lawful exception is clearly stated. Any refund will normally be based on the amount actually paid after the discount, not the original price.

Shipping and Delivery

We deliver to locations shown in our Shipping and Delivery Policy or agreed upon when the order is placed. Delivery availability, provider, charges, and estimated time depend on the destination and order type.

A date is an estimate unless we expressly confirm it as guaranteed. We will disclose the dispatch or delivery period before the transaction and inform you of a material delay. Any period agreed with the customer must be respected subject to lawful events outside reasonable control and the remedies available under Act 772.

The customer must provide a complete and accurate recipient name, telephone number, address, and delivery instructions. If an order has not shipped, contact us immediately to request a correction. Additional costs caused solely by an incorrect address may be charged where reasonable and disclosed, but this will not excuse our own delivery error.

Contact us promptly with your order number and evidence. Do not discard the packaging before we respond. We will investigate with the delivery provider and offer the remedy required by the circumstances and applicable law. A customer will not be required to resolve our contractual delivery failure solely with the courier.

Yes, if permitted by the delivery arrangement. The recipient may need to provide the order reference, identification, or a delivery code. Anyone you authorize to receive the parcel should inspect its external condition where reasonably possible.

Cancellations, Returns, Exchanges and Refunds

Contact us immediately. If the order has not entered production, customisation or dispatch, we will process the request according to our Order Cancellation Policy and applicable law. A custom-order cancellation may be restricted once work has begun because of its personalised nature, provided the restriction is lawful and was disclosed.

Generally, yes. Section 49 of Act 772 gives a consumer a grace period to cancel an online transaction for goods within 14 days after receiving them, without reason or penalty. The consumer may be responsible for the direct cost of returning the goods.

The Act contains exceptions, including goods made to the customer’s specifications, goods that by their nature cannot be returned, and certain other listed transactions. Whether an exception applies depends on the facts. This FAQ does not reduce any additional right available under another law.

No blanket statement overrides Ghanaian law. A return may be restricted where the nature or condition of a particular item makes return legally inapplicable, especially after alteration, installation, wear, contamination or removal of a hygiene seal. However, hygiene restrictions will not be used to avoid responsibility for a wig that was defective, materially misdescribed or different from the confirmed order.

Email or message us within the applicable period with your name, order number, reason, and clear photographs or video where relevant. Wait for return instructions before sending the product. The item should be kept secure with its packaging, tags, and accessories and should not be altered or used more than reasonably necessary to inspect it.

Notify us promptly and provide reasonable evidence. We will assess whether the issue existed at delivery, arose from shipping, represents normal variation, or resulted from installation, wear, chemicals, heat, or improper care. Where the product was defective, damaged in transit, materially misdescribed, or supplied contrary to the accepted order, we will provide the lawful remedy appropriate to the circumstances, which may include repair, correction, replacement, or refund.

Approved refunds are normally made to the original payment method unless another lawful method is agreed. Processing time may depend on the payment provider. Specific statutory deadlines apply in some circumstances: for example, Act 772 requires a refund within seven days after notification where an order cannot be performed because the goods or services are unavailable, and within 30 days for cancellation resulting from a supplier’s failure to provide the information required by section 47.

This depends on the reason for the return, what the law requires, and our Returns, Exchanges, and Refund Policy. Where the return results from our breach, wrong item, defect, or another matter for which we are responsible, we will not impose a return cost that Ghanaian law places on us. For a no-fault cancellation under the statutory grace period, the customer may be responsible for the direct return cost as permitted by Act 772.

Wig Care, Installation and Alterations

Follow the instructions supplied with the product and our Wig Care Policy. In general, detangle gently, use products suited to the hair type, avoid excessive heat or chemicals, wash carefully, dry properly, and store the wig securely. Specific requirements vary by product.

Alteration or use may affect whether a no-fault return is possible because the product may no longer be resalable or returnable by its nature. Inspect the wig and confirm the order details before cutting lace, coloring, bleaching, gluing, installing, or styling it. An alteration does not automatically remove a remedy for a hidden defect or other legal right that cannot be excluded, but it may make the cause and appropriate remedy harder to determine.

Only if expressly stated in the product description, order summary, or service booking. Separate services may have their own price, appointment, and cancellation terms. A service begun with the customer’s consent may fall within an exception to the statutory grace period under Act 772.

Privacy, Cookies and Marketing

Depending on how you use our services, we may collect identity and contact details, delivery information, order and payment references, communications, preferences, website-device information, and other data described in our Privacy Policy. We do not need your mobile money PIN, card PIN, or account password to process an order.

We use personal information for lawful purposes such as processing orders, taking payment, delivering products, preventing fraud, providing support, keeping records, meeting legal obligations, and sending marketing where permitted. Processing must comply with the principles and lawful grounds in Ghana’s Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843).

Subject to Act 843 and applicable exceptions, you may request confirmation and access, correction of inaccurate data, deletion or destruction of data that should not be retained, and objection to certain processing. You may also object to direct marketing and withdraw consent where processing relies on consent. Use our Data Subject Rights Request page or email info@thehairboutiquebyfelicity.com.

Only where permitted by law. Act 772 generally requires prior consent before unsolicited electronic commercial communications and requires an unsubscribe option. Act 843 also regulates direct marketing. You may unsubscribe or object at any time. Service messages about an existing order are not marketing messages.

The website may use essential cookies needed for security, baskets, checkout, and basic operation, and optional analytics or advertising cookies where configured. Our Cookie Policy explains their purposes, duration, and controls. Where consent is legally required for a non-essential cookie, we will request it.

We do not sell personal information as an ordinary part of our business. Information may be shared with service providers such as payment and delivery partners where necessary and lawful, subject to appropriate safeguards. Details are provided in our Privacy Policy.

Complaints and Legal Rights

Email info@thehairboutiquebyfelicity.com or contact our official telephone/WhatsApp number. Include your full name, contact details, order number, a clear description of the problem, the resolution requested, and supporting receipts, photographs, screenshots, or messages.

We will acknowledge, investigate, and answer complaints within a reasonable period. Complex matters or third-party payment and delivery investigations may take longer, but we will provide reasonable updates.

You may request an internal review and provide any additional evidence. Where appropriate, the parties may attempt good-faith negotiation or a mutually agreed alternative dispute-resolution process. You may also contact a competent Ghanaian regulator or court. A data-protection complaint may be taken to Ghana’s Data Protection Commission, and a payment-provider complaint may also be raised through the provider’s complaint process or the appropriate Bank of Ghana framework.

Nothing in these FAQs prevents a customer from exercising a right or remedy available under Ghanaian law.

Our transactions and website policies are governed by the laws of the Republic of Ghana. The courts of Ghana have jurisdiction without preventing a customer from using another lawful complaint, regulatory, or dispute-resolution process.
